AMI Certifications

Montessori is not a trademarked name so there is a wide variety of schools and teacher trainings that use that term but hold different standards of education.

The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) has established a process to certify schools that meet the Essential Characteristics of AMI Environments in support of the full development of the human being. Premier Montessori Academy is one of the four AMI Certified Schools in BC so our programs fulfill the rigorous international standards of Montessori education.

AMI's quality assurance program in Canada is known as Montessori Quality Assurance (MQA). Schools participating in MQA in Canada are committed to striving for and following AMI principles and practices. We are also a recognized school by Montessori Quality Assurance (MQA) program .
