Our Management Team

As a Montessori child myself, I have been immersed in Montessori education since the age of 2, attending Montessori school from preschool through high school.  I have always had a passion for working with children and supporting their development in a joyful and loving way, and this school grants me the opportunity to utilize my skills both as an educator and a visionary. I hold my AMI Diplomas both at the Assistants to Infancy (0-3) and Primary Teacher (3-6) levels, as well as my Early Childhood Educators Certificate and Infant Toddler Educator Certificate.  Having both worked in the classroom with children as well as with Montessori teachers in training at the AMI Training Centre of BC in Vancouver, I bring a wealth of experience. I am so fortunate to take on the position as Head of School at Premier Montessori as it gives me the opportunity to unite my interests of working with children and families and supporting staff and school development.  I truly look forward to getting to know you and your children and working together to provide the optimal learning and development experience for your family.

I have always wanted to work with children and knew this would be my career path from early on.  After completing my Psychology degree from UBC, I decided to pursue my interest in education and enrolled myself in the Early Childhood Education diploma program at Langara College.  After obtaining my Early Childhood Educator and Infant/Toddler educator licenses, I started working at UBC Child Care Services for almost fifteen years, five of them being in a supervisory role.  My passion for children continues to be strong over the years and I believe the early years are very crucial for children to develop all the skills that are needed for later in life.

It is my pleasure to join the PMA family and to share my experiences and knowledge with all the teachers and families here.  Being in a different role from my previous work also gives me a great opportunity to learn and continue to grow as a professional.  I look forward to knowing every one of you and to work alongside you to provide the best learning experience for you and your child.

Working with children has always been a passion of mine. At first, I was in the world of Marketing and Communications. Having a strong background in this career in the East Coast, it wasn’t until I had children of my own did I realize that childcare was what I was meant to do. It was remarkable to see my daughters immersed in a Montessori education both of which completed the full 3 year cycle. There has been a lasting impact on who they are today with their strong sense of self and independence!

I currently hold my AMI Diploma as a Primary Teacher (ages 3-6) and have worked in a classroom for many years and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have an unwavering commitment to an authentic Montessori education and hope that families will also see the vision we have instilled in this school.

I pride myself on having respectful and strong relationships with all the teachers and families. My door is always open and I am excited to offer any assistance to help your family's experience at PMA be an amazing one.

I truly look forward to getting to know you and your children and working together to provide the optimal learning and development for your family.
